I am happy to modify the size and/or the fabric of standard Canzonet cases. To order this option, choose the standard case that is closest in size and configuration to what you’re after and add that to your cart. Then choose the appropriate custom fee from this list, and add it to your cart as well. You should add one cutting fee per case, which covers either a size modification, a fabric modification, or both. IMPORTANT: When you check out, please use the “comments” field to describe your color choices and size modifications. This might say “I would like a standard SATB roll, but please make it in light blue” or “I would like a 3-piece tenor roll in hot pink and six inches longer” or “SAT roll in standard fabric with an additional slot that is 8″ wide”. For additional customizations such as added pockets, straps, etc, please contact me first.
Choose your cutting fee as follows:
Small: cases in the rough size ballpark of single instrument rolls for tenor recorders and smaller, such as single-slot cases long enough for fully-assembled tenors or rolls with up to 4 slots for disassembled tenors.
Medium: Cases in the rough size ballpark of multiple instrument rolls for smaller instruments or single instrument cases for larger instruments. This category includes SATB rolls, single-slot Renaissance basset cases, SAT rolls, etc.
Large: Larger consort rolls or cases for single instruments larger than a basset (great basses, etc).
Fabric and color choices:
Standard Canzonet cases use a breathable water-repellent black cotton canvas on the outside with a smooth natural un-dyed cotton lining. For larger cases, you may prefer 500d coated nylon because it is lighter.
If you’re bored by black, I have 1000d nylon Cordura in all the colors you see here. This fabric is sturdy and highly water-resistant; less breathable than cotton, but more water resistant over time. The colors are highly saturated, and will look great for a long time.
