The all-new SATB folio backpack has eight slots and fits soprano (assembled), alto (assembled), tenor (foot and center assembled), and bass (three pieces) recorders, with one left over for a music stand, swab, bocal, additional instrument or center joint, etc. It folds in half and zips shut with a heavy duty zipper, so it can hold additional recorder rolls, stand bags, notebooks, etc, in between the two halves. The slots are roomy enough that even bent-neck basses (“knickbasses”) will fit.
The outside is sturdy, highly water resistant nylon, available in a wide variety of colors upon request. Like other Canzonet cases, the instrument slots are lined with soft, densely woven, breathable un-treated cotton.
Zippered pockets on the front and back hold flat items such as music, notebooks, and small accessories. Comfortable padded backpack straps and convenient handles make this versatile and capacious gig bag easy to carry.
Available in Black, Red, Navy, or Super Blue nylon. Other colors or even combinations of colors available upon request with a customization fee.
Overall height: approx. 22″
Width about 18″
Thickness about 3″; In practice the actual thickness depends on what’s inside.
The slots on each half are about 5.5″, 4.5″, 3.75″, and 3.5″.
Note: The slot widths are approximate and the padding adds a certain amount of bulk. The case will fit most models but if you have non-standard accessories or would like to use the case for other instruments such as oboes with larger bells, it’s best to err on the larger side.
